Celebrating Mother's Day the "Uniquely You" Way

"I would like to sincerely wish you all a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!"

To all the mothers out there including the: soon to be moms (preggers), adoptive parents and legal gaurdians, I would like to sincerely wish you all a HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

In keeping with the theme of the "Uniquely You Campaign" , we all know that there has never been, never is, and never will be anyone quite like the amazing women who raised us into the wonder people that we have come to be. They stuck with us through life changing events,first day of kindergarten, first day of junior high and the dreaded first day as a freshman in highschool.They put up with our rebellious teen years, like the nights they caught us sneaking out at midnight, the day we decided to dye our hair all the colors of the rainbow or even when we ditched 4th period History.

Through it all, they were there. There to discipline us, yet at many other times allow and encourage us to make our own wise decisions. That is, after all what was most important. Their support was what we needed and thrived on. Many times, especially in our teen years insecurities and worries about our personalities, appearances and emotions were calmed and alleviated by the encouraging words of our mothers. They were our number 1 fans, always inspiring us to be who we are, and loving us every step of the way.They taught us how to love ourselves by loving us unconditionally and letting us know that its okay to be diferrent.

It is now our turn as parents, future parents and/or role models to follow in those foot steps. In this day in time more than ever, lets encourage our young people, so that they will want to celebrate  and appreciate us as much as we do our mothers.

       Above all else, if I could give one gift to the world today, especially to the teen crowd,it would be the gift to encourage one's self. It amazes me how being a individual is preached but not practiced. The moment that the typically "normal girl" or "normal guy"(what ever that is), wears a different brand of jeans, colors his/her hair not so typically blond or pierces their cheek instead of an ear lobe, they're frowned upon like a new freak of nature. Although now, more than ever I am seeing more people step out of that smothering box society calls normal. I applaud those who already have, but  I am now officially Encouraging those who are afraid to. I sincerely urge anyone who desires it, to take their God given gifts and creativity and run with the wind. One thing that I have learned is that no one can keep you from being what you aspire to be. Whether its to accomplish a goal, or dress and act a certain way, you are in control.  When this is understood many of us can stop being afraid to be different, we will be able to Embrace and express our true remarkable selves. So the question is, Why wait? The time is now!! Join me on this campaign of celebrating what is Uniquely You.

      The next few weeks will mark the launch of several endeavors for 101 Sensations Crafted Jewelry Co.. As I think of the many obstacles that threatened to completely sabotage us, I can only be thankful. Thankful for the determination, hard work, and confidence it took to stand behind a brand even when it appeared that no one else would. It would not have been possible for this small business to be what it is today through all the "hateration" and many negatives, without faith,perseverance and overcoming the fear of rejection. That is my specific motivation for writing this blog. I want to Motivate you guys to success as well!
